The last single scheduled for release from Jackson's 'History: Past, Present & Future: Book I' album, but cancelled at the last minute. All pressings of "Smile" were withdrawn and destroyed just before the release date, save a few that managed to escape, making this one of the all-time rarest items in the MJ discography. Track 4 is exclusive to the 5-track CD maxi-single, and its track time is incorrectly given as 4:50 on sleeve (correct duration is 4:32).
